Prop. 8 Trial Starts Today, SCOTUS Says Cameras Won't be Allowed For Now

The federal trial to overturn Proposition 8 is getting started in California today.

If you go to American Foundation for Equal Rights, which is leading the case for the plaintiffs, you can sign up to receive updates from them about the trial and follow it live.

There was a push to allow cameras into the courtroom and the U.S. District Court judge in the case, the Hon. Vaughn Walker agreed to them provided they be posted on YouTube a day later.

The Supreme Court today stepped in and barred the use of cameras, even with the delay, until it has had more time to consider the issue. So, there may still be coverage of this very important case yet.
